Owen looked up from the tactical station as Sherman approached, "Good morning sir. We are starting to have problem with the prisoners. Or at least the ring leaders. They are demanding to be moved to regular quarters and secured there. They are also demanding to know when they will be taken to a detention center."

Sherman folded his arms, shifted his weight slightly to the side as his brow slowly knitted together as Owen told him the news of the prisoners. If he had not been looking annoyed now, he certainly had to swallow it down now - lips only twitching at the sides.

"Well, why don't we give them a bubble bath at the same time." He retorted. "Have they given any plausible reason to be putting forth demands or do they just expect us to bow down?"

"I think the main complaints are from the higher ranking officers among the mutineers, basically saying that it is against Starfleet regulations to force senior officers to share cells with the lower ranks and that they should be confined to regular quarters. Also, the Klingon prisoner is demanding that he be put in contact with the home world and the High Council. He claims to be from an important family and says he is a member of the High Council. I sent word to have the more vocal prisoners moved to the Maximum security cells, away from the rest."

Isla scrubbed at her eyes.  Thankfully they had been able to take care of the repairs that needed done.  Now hopefully things would go smoothly.  Of course that always seemed like wishful thinking when she actually got down to it.  She half listened to what everyone was saying as she kept an eye on her computer screens.  She wasn't about to be taken off guard anymore.

Ensign Kala Pren looked up from the secondary operations station and hesitated a moment before speaking.

"Commander McAines. The latest damage control reports show that most of the major damage has been dealt with. One outer section of deck 5 has been sealed off and force fields have been put in place due to a large hull breach. Aft shields are down to eighty five percent efficiency due to two destroyed emitter arrays. I am trying to compensate."

Eyes closed, seated in the upright position with a straight posture and arms resting on the armrests, Ryn took a few meditative breaths slowly. Her medium to long slightly curled hair (brown with blonde highlights) was untied. Inhaling in and out, she breathed softly while listening to the chatter on the bridge. Her thoughts processed helping through her station. It was calming especially to tender her Klingon side. It was always usually volatile especially regarding matters to certain members that mutinied on her ship. If it was one thing she hated, it was mutineers.

Among the chatter on the bridge, her sharp ears picked on the soft conversation between her tactical officers about the needs of the prisoners. It was something they could handle. Nothing worth mentioning that required her attention. Inhaling and exhaling softly, she listened to another conversation between Commander McAines and Ensign Pren. Something about the latest damage reports that she felt she should handle soon as possible.

With a slight groan, Camryn moved her head sideways to crack her neck and soothed her stiff muscle. Taking her arms from their resting position, she ran her fingers through her hair and moved it into one long tail over her shoulder. A stray hair fell as she rose to her feet and turned toward Pren's station. The commander spoke, "I'll handle it."

Adjusting the band around her left wrist, she tapped her combadge, "Bridge to Engineering. She paused for a few brief moments with another thought in her mind. I might have to go down there at some point to Engineering, Ryn grumbled. "What is the status on that damage we took during the last fight."

Might as well stretch the old legs, Ryn mused silently.

Isla turned as Ensign Pren spoke.  she nodded as she listened, her fingers still flying over the keyboard. "Well, that is certainly an improvement," she said with a sigh.  "And good work on compensating in places that haven't been repaired yet."  The ship had taken some major hits and to be back to nearly full strength was a miracle in itself and just showed how the crew worked together.  Before she could think of her next step Ryn stepped up and said she would handle things.  Isla nodded, leaving it in the commander's capable hands.

As the door to the Captains Ready Room slid closed behind him, Kh'eldor stood straight and walked across the bridge to the tactical station where a couple of officers stood. A Marine who was guarding the entrance to another room eyed Kh'eldor suspiciously as the Klingon approached. One of the two officers manning the station looked up and then shut down a few screens of his station. Kh'eldor wasn't insulted in the least by the action, instead he grinned and thought to himself, 'Wise precaution.'

Stopping in front of the two Starfleet officers he held out the PADD he had been given and said, "I was told by the Captain to give this to Lieutenant Murtaugh."

Owen looked up from the tactical station with a somewhat confused look on his face and took the offered PADD. After nodding to Kh'eldor he looked towards Commander LeBlanc and then turned his attention to the PADD. He pressed a control on the screen and then frowned as he saw that the message required a pass code to open. After entering his personal authorization code into the device he pressed the screen again and this time the file opened. After reading the message he read it a second time and then looked at Kh'eldor again. After closing the file he deleted it and then looked at Commander LeBlanc and said, "Excuse me for a moment sir. The Captain has asked that I deal with something for him that is of a personal nature." Owen then turned his attention back to the PADD and typed out a message which he transmitted to the Flight Control station and then deleted. After handing the PADD back to Kh'eldor he said, "The information the Captain required has been sent to him. I would assume he will detail someone to help you further."

Turning back to Commander Leblanc Owen said, "What would you suggest we do in regards to the prisoners complaints?"

Etana had just completed a minor course correction when an indicator light on one of his screens flashed rapidly and a high pitched chirping sound indicated that a message had been sent to his station. Confused he reached down and pressed the indicator. As the message opened he saw that it had come from the Tactical Station. After reading the message he closed and then deleted it. He them calmly stood and motioned to a nearby Ensign to relieve him. After he checked over the ships course and noting that there were no major obstacles or anomalies along the flight path that might interfere with the ship, he walked over to where Kh'eldor stood.

"Excuse me sir. The Captain has asked that I escort you and give you any assistance you might need." he said as he gave a sidelong glance towards Owen. "If you would please follow me, sir?" he said as he began to walk towards the turbolift entrance.

Kh'eldor was entirely sure what was going on, but he did know that now wasn't the time to ask. Being an intelligence officer and operative he noted that whatever the interaction had been between Lieutenant Murtaugh and the officer who had come from the flight station had been done covertly. "Lieutenant." he said as he nodded to Owen, then looking at Commander LeBlanc as he turned to follow Etana he said, "Commander." with another nod. He then walked over to the trubolift where Etana was waiting.

As soon as she arrived on the bridge, Erin went straight for the Tactical Station, looking to Murtaugh and LeBlanc.

"I understand there's some issues going on in the brig. Could either of you please bring me up to speed?" Erin asked.

There was a moment once again when Roxanne felt as if she was nothing more than either a visitor or piece of baggage waiting to be retrieved as the unfamiliar crew talked over her head. It was just a little embarrassing but not something she couldn't handle or cope with, after all she had only been appointed not just fifteen minutes ago so perhaps it was going to take time for these people to adjust to the fact that she was both Marine Commander and temporary Security chief.

She'd heard the orders, not to mention the constant flow of information reaching her ears through the comslink, that was something she had latched onto quite early, finding herself for some reason being able to hear messages that weren't even initially intended for her. Was it some quirk of her futzed human system and DNA, or was it a part of the Niaid strain that still coursed through her veins? She didn't really care, so long as she was able to carry out her job with the expectancy the Captain required of her, and the crew. "We have prisoners to both secure, protect and move, a simple procedure I would expect. I understand we're required to wear suits of protection, so if someone will show me the way we can get under way as soon as practical." She glanced at Kheldor giving him a reassuring look, both of them were still the 'aliens' so far and it would take time for everyone to get used to them.

Owen nodded as Major Dane and the others approached the tactical station and after glancing over to Commander LeBlanc, decided he should brief the senior officers.

"Commander Parker, Major Dane, I can fill you in. Delta shift reported that several of the prisoners were becoming unruly. Making various demands concerning their disposition, wanting to be moved to crew quarters instead of the brig, demanding that either charges be brought against them immediately or they be released. The Klingon captive from the freighter is  demanding access to a channel to the Klingon home world and is also claiming diplomatic status. Most of the complaints seemed to be coming from the higher ranking mutineers, so they were seperated from the rest of the prisoners. Just before Alpha shift took over this morning, several of the prisoners fell ill. At first it seemed innocuous enough, but the situation quickly deteriorated and those that were sick died. Doctor O'Flynn was notified and a medical team responded to the brig. Those prisoners who were not showing any kinds of symptoms were moved to the mess hall on deck eight and have been secured. The ring leaders have been moved to the segregation cells. The medical situation seems to be contained, we haven't been updated on that yet and the majority of the prisoners have calmed down some, except for the leaders." Owen paused for a moment as he ran through things in his head, "I should also tell you that the Captain has given Commander Kh'eldor permission to try and interrogate the Klingon captive. Commander Kh'eldor just left and is being escorted by Lieutenant Hiroto." Owen finished and then prepared to answer any questions there might be.
